LFW Day 1: Cosmopolitan Fashion Show

I kicked off London Fashion Week with Cosmopolitan fashion show – a fast-paced night of fashion, cocktails and a few famous faces.

I chose to wear a slip dress in bright magenta, a colour I usually don’t wear. But I guess can it be a better place to try a new look than a fashion week?! I paired with furry heels for another a la Carrie Bradshaw look.

The show took place in a gorgeous Victorian building that was originally Billingsgate Fish Market, the world’s largest fish market in the 19th century and which now is one of the biggest hospitality and events venue in the City of London. cosmopolitan-fashion-show-6cosmopolitan-fashion-show-4cosmopolitan-fashion-show-2

The catwalk show featured this autumn’s trends from the most popular high street brands such as Next, Pandora, New Look, H&M, Miss Selfridge, John Lewis and Boohoo.com. It was great to see many stunning and affordable pieces (I am already thinking about what I will need for this autumn wardrobe).

It will be a week packed of fashion shows, I especially looking forward to Mother of Pearls, Fei Fei Cicada which will take place in V&A museum and China Ball at Natural History Museum. Don’t forget to check out my instagram and facebook for live updates from shows.

  1. I love those shoes but I’d feel a little awkward wearing incase someone said anything about the fact they had fur on them. Had a pair of boots before with alot of fur round the top and did here a few other parents at daughters school whispering.

  2. WOW! You pull that dress of ridiculously well. I would NOT look as good in that – ha ha. I would need a super injection of confidence I think. The catwalk looks amazing, super posh and bet it was so exciting to be there.

  3. Those heels are amazing! I really need to start thinking more about my wardrobe, I’ve kind of gotten into the habit of the ‘mum uniform’. I also work from home so tend to stick to the same comfy styles. I really need to read up on the latest High St trends for ideas
