I was postponing this post as not thinking about autumn trends would keep summer forever. However it is definitely the time to say goodbye to summer and update our wardrobes for a new season.
These are the trends to keep in mind for your next shopping trip:
The ’60s are back in a major way. Maybe designers were inspired by the latest season of Mad Men. Look for mini skirts, bold graphic prints in vibrant colours, A-lines and knee-high boots.
One of the most prominent trends for winter – comfortingly soft and cozy. For fall knits, nothing is too big or too intricate.
There are to main trends for knitwear – head to toe look with sweaters with woolly leggings which look best in neutrals and fuzzy oversized knits for a cozy look and soft silhouette.
Capes, ponchos and blanket wraps are kimonos’ equivalent for autumn season. Exquisite fabrics take this trend from sofa to street so look for rich colours, texture and luxurious fabrics as cashmere or silk blends.
Fur is pretty inevitable for fall fashion and this season is not an exception. But designers experimented with new shapes and types of fur. Sheepskin is the most popular this season especially long-haired fluffy coats in pastels.
