French Style In London

Posted In: My Outfits

French women have a fabulous sense of style – full of grandeur and glamour yet effortless at the same time. They always look so utterly chic without looking overdone.

red pleated skirtFor me personally striped tops are essentials of French style. It all began with Coco Chanel who elevated Breton stripe to haute couture status making it fashionable and stylish for years now. how to wear stripes and pleatsAnother very french way of dressing is off-the-shoulder top (remember Brigitte Bardot?!) which I paired with a voluminous pleated skirt to create a coquettish and subtly sexy outfit.

Pleats and stripes are not very usual combination but I am falling in love with it. Go for it if you want an eye catching outfit which screams stylish and effortless chic! _DSC3089abardo top

How to accessorize? I chose a statement necklace to make my outfit more chic and glamorous. Pear it with high heel sandals or wedges and a chain bag.

Where to wear it? It’s a perfect outfit for weekends when you are meeting your friends for brunch, going for an art exhibition, or just enjoying things big cities can offer. It’s an ideal outfit to wear for a whole day – you won’t look overdressed in the morning and underdressed in the evening.
