Autumn/ Winter 2013 Fashion Trends: Animal Print

animal print

Hi Everyone!

Animal prints and patterns were seen all over the fall 2013 runways. Designers have embraced all manner of hides, skins and pelts. Leopard took the lead but everything from croc to tiger, python, pony and ocelot provide an eye-catching alternative. By using animal prints you can entry this autumn’s punk trend.

Leopard prints may conjure up slightly dated imagery but for this autumn a number of designers, including DKNY and Giambattista Valli, put a cool and modern twist on the wild motif.

If you want a less obvious than leather and less flashy than fur look, go for ponyskin. It adds a luxurious sheen to garments and can create a polished and clean look with sharp silhouettes.

Crocodile print is an alternative to leopard spots and head-to-toe crocodile is the way to go. This winter tames this wildly luxurious trend and succumbs to its seductive style.
